Itʼs no surprise that Sandboarding is one of the most popular tourist activities in Swakopmund. The town lies between the sand dunes of the Namib Desert and the cold waters of the Atlantic ocean. Join in on the fun with Khoisan Tours & Safaris by chasing down the slip faces of the Namib Desert dunes.
We offer two options: Stand-up and Lie-down sandboarding.
No experience needed.

Morning & Afternoon trips:
- Morning Trip Pick-up 09:30, includes snack and soft drink.
- Afternoon Trip Pick-up 14:00, includes snack and soft drink.
Minimum of 2 people.

- Dressing according to the weather. Closed shoes are recommended for lie-down boarders.

Lie-down sandboarding
No experience needed. Special hardboards are used (aka “Kalahari Ferrari”) to slide down head first down the dune on your belly. One can reach the speed up to 70km/h for that adrenaline buzz.
Stand-up sandboarding
We are using proper snowboards and boots for stand-up sandboarding.
